What We Do

Wood Matters provides a range of products and services related to Trees, Hedges & Woodlands that are individually tailored and managed to meet the needs of clients including: private householders & landowners, conservation groups such as The National Trust and Shropshire Wildlife Trust, primary & secondary schools, parish councils, churches, hotels and building companies with whom a varied program of conservation, woodland and safety work.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple and from a conservation point of view – where possible – but always looking at solving your issues where they occur.  We start with an initial free site visit and risk assessment, through to a full review & appraisal program of work undertaken. All sites are left clean and tidy and all debris removed where appropriate.

We continue to evolve having initially grown from a voluntary countryside background and develop strong relationships with clients in order deliver to specific needs and requirements. Wood Matters have developed its own style of professional outlook in the care of trees, hedges and woodlands.

Where it’s possible and sustainable, we are investing in battery based hedge trimmers and chainsaws which have proven to be  hit with all of us – myself, staff and customers.  As technology develops we strive to develop in that area where we can.

Wood Matters will undertake planning applications for Conservation Areas and Trees that are protected through Tree Protection Orders, provide advice and free no obligation quotations for all clients.

Work Appraisal

From the initial visit, though to completion of all the tasks, Ben will assist you through all the stages.  We are always here to help – where possible – and if there’s an area where we don’t have the answer, skills or expertise, then we have links with those that do.  To know more about our services contact us on 01743 891231 0r 07974 300328 or by email.
